Account and buyer research
Know why an account belongs on your list.
Canvass brings account signals, qualification and contact history into one record. Review why a company fits your audience, what has changed, and whether the proposed buyer has a relevant role before preparing outreach.
Talk about your campaignSeparate fit from timing
Your audience criteria describe the companies you want to pursue. A buying signal gives you a reason to look at one of those companies now. You need to review both.
A funding announcement may be recent without creating a need for your offer. An engineering vacancy may suggest a project, but it doesn't establish budget or buying authority. Check the source and the account history before treating either as a reason to write.
Read the qualification rulesRead the account's history
Open an account to review its signals, recommendations, prior messages and recorded outcomes. Evidence and model judgment have different roles here: the source describes an observation, while the recommendation explains what Canvass makes of it.
Before approving a follow-up, read the earlier message. Check whether the new signal adds a reason to contact the buyer and whether the account is suppressed.
Explore account recordsCheck the person as carefully as the company
Review the proposed buyer's current employer and role, along with the available contact information. A relevant title is one part of the decision; it doesn't prove that the person owns the problem you're addressing.
Live discovery depends on your configured sources and may use provider credits. Review the available preview and its limits before importing people. An imported contact is a record to assess, not evidence of an interested buyer.

Does a high score mean a buyer is ready to purchase?
No. A score is a recommendation based on the available evidence and your audience criteria. Purchase intent needs supporting evidence; a score alone doesn't establish it.
What happens when required company information is missing?
Qualification can abstain when required profile information is missing, stale or untrusted. Review that gap before treating the account as eligible.
